Lynn (Wiebe) Smith is a four time College National Finals Rodeo qualifier. She placed in at least one round each year that she competed at the CNFR. In 1998 her hard work paid off~ BIG! She won the National Intercollegiate Breakaway Roping, Goat Tying and All Around Championship titles and placed the Central Wyoming College Women's Rodeo Team third in the Nation single handedly. After college Lynn continued to compete in the Goat Tying and Breakaway Roping through the Northwest Ranch Cowboys Rodeo Association. She has won the NRCA Finals Goat Tying Championship in 1999, 2000 and 2001. The fall of 2000, Lynn joined with the Central Wyoming College Rodeo Program again as the Women's Rodeo Coach. The CWC Women's Team are the four time Central Rocky Mountain Regional Champions and in 2004 placed 3rd as a team Nationally. Today, Lynn currently continues to coach, instruct clinics and helps prepare geldings for their family's annual Quarter Horse Sales. Through experience in preparation for the family's horse sales, Lynn has gained a better understanding of the relationship between horsemanship and competitive rodeo equine athlete. Lynn instructs several goat tying clinics throughout the year nation-wide, sharing her knowledge, experiences and skills with her students.
